With the others, it’s usually a mix of formal and casual speech.

After sending a “Good morning” sticker, he says, “I’m heading out…”
After I reply, “You’ve got this,” he calls me for about 20 minutes after I send a “Good morning” sticker.
On his way home from work, he says, “I’m heading home now…” After I reply, “You’ve got this,” and send a “Thanks for your hard work” sticker, he calls me.

At first, we both speak politely, but often I gradually stop using formal language, and they do too. Sometimes, though, they continue speaking formally the whole time.
There’s nothing particularly special about the wording—nothing really worth calling an example.

This is a conversation with a hands-on dad in his 40s.
Papa: “For now, once ○ sells, I’ll send the money to △.”
Me: “That’d look suspicious… If I’m supposedly ××, I’d be in trouble lol.”
Papa: “But it’ll take time, so maybe I’ll send it in advance.”
Me: “True lol. Just in case.”

Looking back through our LINE messages, I noticed that a lot of them were about sex and money. This is the only person I use LINE with.

That’s the kind of conversation we have. We also talk about taxes quite a bit. Since I give her a substantial allowance, she needs to handle the taxes properly, so we communicate closely about that. On the other hand, we don’t have chats like “Good morning” or “Good night.” I almost never contact them first, so our communication is basically just me replying when they message me.

Our LINE messages are polite. Even after we get closer, we basically continue using polite language.
