It reminded me of a question like:
“I just had a close-contact stretching session with a beautiful woman. Men’s esthe is nice too, but from an athlete’s perspective, this option is hard to pass up. Which do you think is better?”
(The person asking doesn’t really care either way.)

If the first meeting is at a restaurant, they’ll ask for the reservation name at the entrance, so if it isn’t the person’s club name, you really need to let me know in advance—it puts me in a difficult position.
Once, I only knew my date by their club name and got stuck at the gate of a members-only hotel. I’d planned to call once I reached the lobby, but they asked for the name at the gate before I got there.
They stood there confidently, with a look that said, “Nothing’s wrong,” and the hotel staff seemed to catch on and let me in—but what does that say about their security?

Either option is standard, so I think either is fine. Everyone should just do what they prefer.
Some people may want to keep their real names private, so I think both men and women use club names.

Honestly, it doesn’t matter which side is in the majority.
