It’s basically the same as the Like feature on social media. It lets you see whether other people think the photo you uploaded looks good, so to speak.
② Why do men give women Likes?
(If they’re not making an offer, is there a feature where liking someone saves them to their favorites, for example?)
I think they simply give a Like when they think the photo looks good.
That said, whether it leads directly to an offer is another matter. Men generally prefer photos that haven’t been edited. Among women, heavily edited or especially flattering photos may be considered better, but from a man’s perspective, how someone looks in person matters more than how good they look in an edited photo.
So rather than selfies, photos that look like they were taken with a DSLR—or even unedited photos taken with a smartphone—tend to leave a better impression and are more likely to lead to an offer.
By the way, I’m sorry to hear that you haven’t been receiving any offers lately. Since you have the opportunity, why not try having your photos taken again?
If you hit it off with the staff during the session, they may also add a comment such as, “She was a wonderful and enjoyable woman to talk to.”
(Normally, they only write something like, “She came in for a new photo session,” though.)
That might encourage men who had wanted to make you an offer but were hesitant to think, “Maybe I’ll meet her after all.”
Of course, even if the comment only says that you came in for a new photo session, your photos will be updated. Some men may see them and notice subtle changes, such as thinking you look more mature or cuter than before.
