I currently have a two-year-old and a newborn, and I’d like to do this while my children are at daycare. Does having young children put me at a disadvantage in various ways?

There are two ways in which it can be a disadvantage.
First, some men prefer women without children because, even if the relationship becomes long-term, traveling together can be difficult—someone would have to look after the child while you’re away. So that may work against you.
That said, if the man isn’t looking for a long-term relationship, I don’t think it will be much of a disadvantage.
The other issue is that your child might come down with a fever on the day of a date. Canceling on the day of a first meeting results in forced removal from the service. Even if you’ve already been on dates together, a same-day cancellation will significantly lower your rating.
That’s another sense in which having a child can be a disadvantage.
