I’m a male member in my 50s and have been a member for over four years. I don’t need women to send me reverse offers—I choose for myself—and making my profile public is nothing but a risk (though I don’t think it’s a particularly serious one), so the “You’re Wonderful” system is completely useless to me. If it caused no actual harm, I’d simply ignore it, but I’m fed up with how slow the site has become lately. (I suspect a considerable number of female members desperate for offers are frantically checking men’s profiles.)

Maezawa here with my answer. There are currently only 446 men who have made their profiles public—just 446 out of approximately 3,000. That’s a surprisingly small number, even with the campaign underway. Once the campaign ends, the number of people using the feature may decrease further. In that sense, I don’t think it can be called a great success. That said, if even a few people are using it, I believe the feature should be available. And if there are areas that need improvement, I think we should work on improving them. The members’ page being slow may also be related to the server capacity. We’re using a reasonably high-spec server, but if it still becomes slow, we should simply move to an even higher-spec server. It will cost more, but as the number of members grows, so does the load. Adding more features also increases the load, so we should continue upgrading to increasingly powerful servers. The basic idea, I believe, should be to provide features for those who want to use them, while allowing those who don’t want to use them to simply opt out. The person who asked the question is troubled because the site becomes slow. If the reverse-offer feature didn’t slow things down, it wouldn’t be a problem—even for someone who chose not to use it. In that sense, I think the point being made here is: “It’s slow and causing problems, so please make it so that it doesn’t slow down.” Upgrading to a more powerful server would involve additional costs, so it isn’t something we can fix immediately. Still, I hope we’ll be able to improve the situation.
