I recently upgraded from Gold to Platinum and paid an additional ¥50,000, but only received 25,000 points. Apparently, this is based on my ratings from male members. Is there any way to find out how many stars I’ve received? Is there somewhere I can check my star rating? Thank you in advance.

I believe it was simply a system that awarded points to people with good ratings, rather than something related to moving up a class. It wouldn’t be fair if people with bad ratings were only forcibly removed, so I think the system was designed to award points once a year to those with good ratings. With this system, if men treat women courteously so they don’t receive complaints, then ultimately both men and women can feel glad that they met good people. I understand being concerned about your own rating, but I think it’s enough to focus on the fact that you received a good rating—meaning you were above the required benchmark. I hope that, going forward, more people like you will continue to receive good ratings. Incidentally, there are men who receive a warning from the club after accumulating bad ratings and then say things like, “How am I supposed to know what I did wrong if you don’t tell me specifically?” That attitude itself makes me think, “No wonder he gets bad ratings—he probably treats women like that all the time.”

The ratings and points awarded haven’t been disclosed, so no one knows. If you contact the club, they should be able to tell you your own rating.
