Also, your rank (or class?) and rating are separate things. It’s uncommon for your rank to drop because of being late.
Normally, your rating goes down and you lose a star.
Some men dislike even a ten-minute delay, so going forward, it would be best to allow yourself enough leeway to account for minor train delays.
As for how ratings are determined, they used to be rather vague, but guidelines have recently been established.

【★ Rating Guidelines】
These guidelines outline the internal standards used when changing a member’s star rating. Actual decisions may vary, and the club does not completely guarantee a woman’s personality or character.
Cases in which the rating is lowered
1. Cancellations related to visiting a branch
If there have been three or more no-shows or rescheduling requests before attending the recruitment interview, the member will start with a ★2 rating.
For cancellations or rescheduling related to a re-shoot, the rating will be lowered by one star from the second instance onward.
2. Cancellations after a date has been confirmed
A cancellation on the day before a date will result in a one-star deduction per occurrence.
In cases of particularly bad-faith cancellations, one star will be deducted regardless of how many days remain before the date.
※ “Bad-faith cancellation” refers to repeatedly cancelling or making other plans for personal reasons rather than work.
※ Cancelling on the day of the first date will result in immediate expulsion from the club.
3. When there is negative feedback
After confirming the details with both parties, if it is clear that there was an issue on the woman’s side, her rating will be lowered by one star even if it is only one person’s opinion.
If three or more consecutive reviews give low ratings regarding her personality, manners, or similar matters, her rating will be lowered by one star regardless of whether confirmation is possible.
4. Slow responses to messages from staff
If there is no response for more than one day even after a reminder, and this happens two or more times, the rating will be lowered by one star.
※ Cases in which the rating will not be lowered
・Cancellations or schedule changes made at least two days before the date will not affect the star rating.
・The star rating will not be lowered if the possibility of cancellation has been noted in advance in the club’s comments.
・The star rating will not be lowered if permission has not been given to confirm negative feedback with the woman.
・The star rating will not be lowered if you notify the club in advance that circumstances may cause a delayed response.
Cases in which the rating is raised
1. Prompt responses to messages from staff
If most replies arrive within two hours and are written politely, the rating will be raised by one star.
2. A series of positive reviews
If three or more consecutive reviews praise her manners, responsiveness, or similar qualities, the rating will be raised by one star.
(However, this applies only if there is no negative feedback serious enough to warrant a one-star deduction.)
3. A series of dates without any particular issues
If there are five or more consecutive dates without lateness, cancellations, or schedule changes, the rating will be raised by one star.
