It’s been over two years since I joined. I meet up with a few of my favorite girls two or three times a month.
Toward the end of last year, I unexpectedly ran into someone I knew in a hotel elevator. The girl handled it very tactfully, and the situation passed without incident, but... I thought my heart was going to stop.
I was worried about it at first, but I had gradually started thinking, “Maybe it’s actually not such a big deal?!”
How do you all feel about this?
Also, if there are any precautions I should take or anything I should absolutely keep in mind, I’d appreciate your advice.
Now that my daughter has started wearing makeup and is almost old enough to join a club herself, I’m more conscious of how people see me when I’m out with her.
I’ve been used to dating long-term girlfriends and women around 30 years younger than me for decades, so it doesn’t particularly bother me.
Even if your cheating isn’t discovered, the key is to avoid any changes in your behavior. Doing things you’re not used to is never a good idea.

As much as possible, I keep my activities separate from both our everyday lives and work circles, so I’ve never run into anyone we know.
If we did happen to meet an acquaintance, I’d probably cover by saying:
- If it were someone connected to family or friends: “We know each other through work.”
- If it were someone from work: “She’s a distant relative, like a second cousin.”
If it were an acquaintance of the woman’s, I’d probably say as little as possible and just go along with whatever she says.

Once, when I was walking around Nishi-Azabu with my papa (a male supporter), a hostess from a Roppongi lounge spotted him and apparently thought, “Wait, is that his girlfriend!?” She even took a photo of us from behind, lol.
She sent the photo of my papa and me to one of the lounge staff, who later showed it to him, saying, “A-ko sent me this photo.” That’s how we found out.
But honestly, neither of us is particularly careful about it...

I have a similar background, but I try to keep as much distance as possible in places where we might be seen. If someone I know spots us, I don’t mind admitting that she’s my mistress, but if one of her female friends were to see us, it could cause her a great deal of trouble. That’s why I try to be considerate about it.
