You wouldn’t want to date a woman who seems to have another man in the picture, right?

I’m Kida, the representative. I see marriage as ownership, a mistress as a long-term lease, and papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) as short- to medium-term sharing, so I’ll compare them to cars. Marriage is buying a new car, having a mistress is leasing one, and papa-katsu is car sharing. With car sharing, someone else may have been driving the car just an hour earlier. There might even be some trash left behind, but you hardly think about the previous user. So my answer is: “It’s fine as long as there aren’t any overly vivid reminders.”

I’m Date◎Yume, a male member. If anything, I’m not really looking to date right now. The reason is that, at the moment, I’m someone who can’t pursue a relationship while wearing a full mask covering both the upper and lower parts of my face.

I’m Fuu, a columnist. I actually feel more comfortable with women who have a boyfriend or other papa supporters. When they tell me I’m their only one, it scares me and I run away, haha. If you’re looking for a serious one-on-one relationship, I don’t think this is the place to look.

I’m Nana Ayase ♡ Everyone has their own way of thinking, so it’s hard to make a blanket statement, but can you—or do you—focus on just one woman?

Maezawa from the CEO’s Office here. I feel like that’s just what a possessive papa (a male supporter) would think. On the other hand, some women use that to their advantage and say things like, “Another papa gave me this much allowance,” or “He gave me this present.” That can make some men think, “I can do that much too.” In that way, I think some women use their own charm to skillfully stir up a man’s possessiveness. Also, hearing what other men are doing can sometimes be helpful for reference. I don’t think every man is strongly possessive.

Another guy in the picture? Why assume you’re the only one? For starters, men involved in papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) are papa-katsu partners—not “men” in the traditional sense. Don’t get the wrong idea. Akari

I’m Aya, a female member. My papa said that’s exactly how he feels. He says that even if he pursues a hostess who has a boyfriend, he gets bored after three dates. That’s awful.

I’m Kazu, a male member. No, not at all. In fact, I’d welcome it if it means hearing an interesting story.

I’m Dai, a male member. I’m a low-paying papa (a male supporter) who meets once a month and pays ¥50,000 per meeting, so I have no problem with her seeing other men. If anything, I even ask her about the kinds of relationships she has with other men, including their preferences.
