As I mentioned a little while ago, our internal rules have changed.
If no leave-of-absence period has been specified, the account will now generally be treated as withdrawn.
Apparently, this is to avoid situations where women remain on leave and then become unreachable, leading to confusion like, “What do you mean, my account was withdrawn without my permission?”
(I’m not entirely sure of the real reason, but that’s probably the gist of it.)
That said, even if an account is withdrawn, anyone who has received an offer can basically register again, so I don’t think it should be a problem.
However, Universe’s policies could change while the account is inactive, so it’s frustrating that I can’t say it’s absolutely guaranteed to be fine.
(Though I’d say there’s a 99% chance it will be fine.)

The reason women aren’t told the staff comments—and aren’t supposed to be told them—is that if every woman made the same request, it would overwhelm the staff.
So I think it’s best to give up on having the staff comments changed.
It also doesn’t make much sense to say, “What if it says this?” Women can’t see the comments in the first place, so they wouldn’t even know whether they had been rewritten.
If there is clearly incorrect information, I think it would be better to ask openly:
“I heard this from a male member named [name], but it differs from the facts. Could you please correct it?”
Asking for wording to be changed simply because it might leave a bad impression is out of the question, so I don’t think that request can be accommodated.
