There are many female members who have been registered for two or three years or more and are still using their original photos. Don’t you also check for major changes in their appearance, such as their body shape, hairstyle, or hair color, when confirming their continued membership?

I’m Fuu, a columnist. Whenever possible, it’s best to make offers to girls near the top of the profiles. If their photos are from two years ago or they haven’t confirmed that they’re still active, there’s a good chance their motivation has dropped—and they may even have forgotten they’re registered. You’re more likely to find someone great if you make offers to girls who recently registered, have confirmed they’re still active, or have had their photos retaken.

I asked about this, and apparently they currently don’t conduct that kind of check. That said, they do tell women during the interview, “Please contact us if your hairstyle or anything else changes significantly.” So their stance seems to be that a serious woman will get in touch if, for example, she changes her hair color or undergoes a major change in body type. Incidentally, not every woman who doesn’t have new photos taken necessarily has low motivation. Some may still be highly motivated but have gained weight since their previous photos and feel unable to go in for a reshoot. Of course, some simply don’t come because it’s a hassle. So for the time being, when making an offer, it might be a good idea to include something like: “Please let us know if your hairstyle, hair color, or body type has changed since the interview.”

I’m Dai, a male member. I agree that when a woman continues without having new photos taken, the club should ask about any changes in her appearance, such as going blonde or gaining weight. That said, a woman whose appearance has deteriorated enough to warrant removing her from the roster probably wouldn’t come in for a new photo shoot in the first place.

I’m Kazu, a male member. If several years have passed since a woman joined and she still hasn’t had her photos retaken, you need to factor that in when making an offer. While you should recognize that it’s ultimately your own responsibility for making an offer without confirming updated photos, I also think the club bears some responsibility for leaving her profile untouched for years. If her appearance has changed drastically, it would be reasonable to give the club calm, straightforward feedback. Also, even if her appearance hasn’t changed much, women who don’t come in for new photos may have low motivation. I think you need to be prepared for that as well. Thinking back, when I had just joined, I once inquired about making an offer to a woman who lived far away and whose photos hadn’t been updated for several years. The branch manager kindly told me, “Her photos haven’t been updated in several years, so we don’t recommend making an offer.” There may also be women who refuse to have their photos retaken because their appearance has changed significantly. Either way, women who haven’t updated their photos for a long time should probably be considered a person to avoid. Only the staff can know whether a profile has been deleted, so let’s wait for their response.
