I’m a lost and confused man in my 60s.
I’ve been staying home and avoiding activities because of COVID, and I hardly even check the Q&A box anymore. But when Mac-san specifically asks me, I can’t just ignore it (^◇^;)
If she’s a Type B woman, then unless she’s secretly Type A, she’s probably looking for an allowance for an adult relationship as well (though there have been exceptions). So I’m guessing your date plans are good, and the allowance is reasonably generous?
Since you’ve been able to maintain a relationship even with dinner only, if you’re interested, all you really need to do is tell her honestly. No need to scheme about timing or the right approach—just be straightforward about your feelings… lol
I’d say the odds are about fifty-fifty… but isn’t that uncertainty part of what makes club dating fun?
I’ve mainly seen Type B women. During the very first arranged date, I would bring up the subject directly, and fortunately they seemed to feel comfortable with me, so we were able to move into that kind of relationship from the next date onward. At least, that was before COVID… lol
Now, although I’ve met them once, our relationship has been limited to emails and LINE messages afterward. Even so, I’m grateful to the women who tell me, “I’m still waiting for you.”
With the Type A woman, we’re more like hobby buddies now, but I’m still keeping a little hope alive… lol
Since this is club dating, it’s important to clearly bring up what kind of relationship you’re looking for.

Hmm… how old is the person asking?
If you’re from the Showa generation, wasn’t there a saying that if you didn’t enter an adult relationship by the third date, you’d just become friends?
For Type A, taking six months might be fine.
But for Type B, I feel you should make your move by the third date. If you’ve had dinner together four or more times, I feel you’ll end up having a dinner-only relationship from then on.

I don’t think it’s about timing. What you need is courage.

Telling yourself, “Well, I’m having fun, so I guess it’s fine,” is just an excuse. Pretending to be a nice guy won’t get you anywhere.
If you want an adult relationship, I think you should just say so. If she’s a Type B, she’s probably waiting for you to make the first move. If she turns you down, you’ll know you’re destined to be a dinner-only papa from then on.

As other respondents have said, if you continue a dinner-only relationship for three to five meetings or more, I think you’ve already been put in her “dinner papa” folder.
It’ll be very difficult to get out of that situation.

If a papa is only interested in dinner dates and that goes on for a long time, just accept it and move on.
The chances of things progressing are mostly after the first or second meeting. If I really like her, it might happen after the fourth or fifth meeting, but usually I start losing interest by then, so it’s only natural for things to quietly fade out before that.

She probably sees you as nothing more than a dinner-only papa at this point, so I think you should invite the next girl on the second date.
If you’re not interested in continuing as her dinner-only papa, go ahead and ask her, while being prepared for the possibility that she may turn you down.
You’ve already missed the ideal timing, so I’d say anytime is fine now.
Well, I’m not B, and I don’t need a dinner-only papa, so that’s my take after considering the opinions of the men and women here.
