Does doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) make you hate men? Or is it women who already hate men and think it’s okay to deceive them who do papa-katsu?

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here, answering as well. Thanks for your question. I’ve never heard anyone say that papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) made them dislike men, so even if such people exist, I think they’re probably very few. In terms of likelihood, I imagine it’s about as common as someone saying they started disliking men after getting a boyfriend their own age. There may be people who think it’s okay to deceive men, but I’m not sure whether that’s actually because they dislike men. I’m not really sure why you want to connect everything to women disliking men. Basically, I don’t think someone who genuinely dislikes men would register in the first place.

I’m Date◎Yume, a male member. Generally speaking, I don’t think doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) would make someone start hating men. I suppose it depends on the papa (male supporter), as well as on the woman. Deceiving people isn’t exactly enjoyable, after all...

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member. If it suits you, you’ll think, “I like money, I like men, I enjoy good food, I like going out—this is great and fun.” If it doesn’t suit you… well, which is it?

I’m Kazu, a male member. It doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll come to hate men. It seems that some women who aren’t having relationships that leave them feeling satisfied or comfortable with the arrangement start saying things that make them sound like they dislike men—or simply have a bad attitude. Whether they can have a satisfying, mutually acceptable relationship may partly come down to luck, but I think the woman’s mindset and attitude play a major role. A woman might start disliking men and thinking it’s okay to deceive them because of papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), or she may have developed those feelings from experiences before she started papa-katsu. Besides, disliking men and thinking it’s okay to deceive them are two separate issues. It’s up to each individual what they dislike, but that doesn’t make it okay to deceive others.
