By definition, dating through a dating club means:
“An arrangement between people of the opposite sex that involves compensation.”
So I think it would mean:
Wanting to date with the understanding that it’s through a dating club = compensation is involved = an allowance will be provided.
Wanting to date without treating it as a dating-club arrangement = no compensation = wanting to date without an allowance.
That said, if you’re referring to something in a man’s profile, I feel it may have a different meaning.

To me, this is a little different from simply receiving an allowance. Whether money is involved or not, I understand and request that we “keep the relationship strictly within the framework of the dating club.”
That means referring to each other by our club names, limiting everything we do together to club-related activities, and not getting involved in each other’s private or social lives. I believe “wanting to date with the understanding that this is a dating club” means keeping the relationship completely secret from everyone else.
