Sometimes I have no motivation or energy. There are also days when my body feels so heavy that I can’t do anything. I’m not even sure whether garlic injections are helping. Maybe those of you who are active don’t experience this, but what do you do to boost your energy or motivation? Do you take any supplements? Any advice would be appreciated.

I’m Flag Maker, a column writer. When I’m feeling unmotivated, I take a break and only do things that energize me, like enjoying my hobbies or going out and having fun.

I’m Aya, a female member. When I don’t feel motivated, it usually means I’m tired, so I take a break. I rest as much as I can—right up until the last minute—and then get to work when the deadline starts looming.

My name is Shingo Lee (Shingori). Have you been getting enough sleep? Are you feeling mentally exhausted as well? If even garlic injections aren’t helping, it sounds like you’re dealing with a double whammy. When you feel like you “can’t get motivated,” the solution is not to rely on motivation. Make a list of what you need to do, create a schedule, and focus only on following it. If this listless state continues for more than a week, I also recommend visiting a mental health clinic. Just like a regular hospital, it should only cost around 2,000–3,000 yen, and you may feel better. Please include the following in your schedule and plan out one week: ・Work ・Exercise ・Visit a mental health clinic ・Meet up with people I sincerely hope you feel better soon.

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here to answer as well. When you don’t feel motivated or have the energy to do anything? I think it’s fine to simply do nothing. Work is a different matter, but in your private life, I don’t think you need to push yourself.

Ayase Nana ♡ First, try getting 5–10 minutes of sunlight in the morning. Are you getting any exercise? Maybe you’re feeling a little depressed? Try raising the level of your work a little. Soak properly in a warm bath, stay hydrated, and go to sleep before midnight. Then get some sunlight again in the morning.

I’m in Seattle. Are you male or female? If you’re male, just eat and sleep—it’ll get better. Women have it tough with things like their cycles and low-pressure weather. Medication is probably your best bet.
