Since you said this happened “at the time,” if it’s been more than six months since the interview and you were told you weren’t accepted because you were late, I think there’s a chance you could pass a second interview.
That said, I’m curious about your attitude when you were late.
If you apologized repeatedly, they may have seen it as a one-time occurrence and decided it wouldn’t affect their hiring decision. However, if you acted as though, “I was late—what can you do? I had a reason,” they might assume you would behave the same way when meeting male members.
In that case, you wouldn’t be accepted.
The issue is that although being late may have been one reason, it’s also possible you wouldn’t have been accepted even if you hadn’t been late.
To clarify that, I think reapplying would be a good idea.

In the case of women, I’ve never seen anyone who lacked basic cleanliness, so if someone says they had to make a special effort in that area, I can’t help wondering whether there might be something seriously off.

Also, being humble isn’t automatically enough. If a woman isn’t confident about her appearance but has a distinctive personality, I sometimes think, “Maybe an unconventional man will make her an offer.”
If you can make them feel that you might receive offers, you’ll pass.

From a staff member’s perspective, to be honest, if someone cancels or arrives late even for their interview, it naturally makes us worry about whether they’ll show up for dates as promised.
These days, forgetting your phone is a major problem, but we may also look for people who can handle the situation flexibly—for example, by contacting us from a pay phone or borrowing a friend’s phone.
Unfortunately, I don’t know whether that was the reason you weren’t accepted, or if it was something completely different. But if you’d like to try again, I think it would be a good idea to apply once more!

If you showed up late to your first date after receiving an offer—and didn’t have your phone with you or contact the club—you might not even get to meet them.
Forgetting your phone is understandable, but from the club’s perspective, not contacting them at all would make arranging a first date pretty worrying.
That said, the staff try to let everyone through if they think there’s even a chance of an offer. So if you still didn’t pass, considering all of those reasons together, it sounds like things may be difficult.
