If you thought those papas were good people, I think you should get in touch with them.
If not, I think it’s perfectly fine to just leave things as they are. Letting the relationship naturally fade away is also an option. If you repeatedly say things like, “I’m busy that day…” they’ll probably stop contacting you eventually.
What’s best depends on the person, as well as what kind of arrangement feels manageable for you.
That said, it’s quite common for things to pick up again after graduation, so I think it would be better to leave the door open for the future.

I don’t think there are any hard-and-fast rules of etiquette.
Instead of sounding like a guy from the bubble era who can’t figure out what to do on a date without a dating manual, I suggest using your own head a little. I think your brain only gets worse if you don’t use it.
