If someone says, “Please contact me again if you’d like,” after your first meeting and leaves it up to you whether to meet again, does that mean they’re not very interested?

I’m a male member—and pretty much a loser at this. In my case, “I’ll get in touch with you♪” is actually the more dangerous phrase. I usually don’t contact them at all. On the other hand, “Please get in touch with me” is a positive sign. If you tell someone you don’t want to hear from, “Please contact me,” they might actually do it, right? So when I want to end things, I say: “I’ll contact you” = “Please don’t contact me.” That’s just how it is in my case, though.

I’m Dai, a male member. It depends on the man’s approach to dating. Some men apparently won’t meet unless the woman contacts them first. I’m the type to reach out myself when I want to meet, so that sounds like something I’d say when I’m not really that interested.

If he’s not interested, he may say, “I’ll get back to you,” and then never contact you again. If he told you to reach out and you feel like meeting him, I think you should just contact him without overthinking the details. Marika

I’m Aya, a female member. They may often seem not particularly enthusiastic but not dislike you either. Still, there’s no point worrying about it. I feel that trying to imagine what’s in someone else’s heart is often pointless. What matters is what you can do for that person and what you do or don’t want to do. So for now, I’d suggest reaching out and gradually deciding whether it seems possible to build a long-term relationship.

I’m Kazu, a male member. Some people say that when they’re not interested, while others say it when they are. I’m the type who says it when I’m interested.

I’ll answer too—Maezawa from the CEO’s office. I think people like that probably act that way with everyone, so it’s simply their general approach. That’s separate from whether they’re interested in meeting you, so I think you should reach out. If you do, but they keep making excuses and you can’t actually meet, then they’re probably not that interested. But you won’t know unless you try contacting them.
