I think it ultimately comes down to a level of sensuality and emotional maturity that girls in their 20s simply don’t have.

You can take her on trips and have her play the part of your much younger wife.

I completely disagree with the idea that women in their 20s are preferred for their purity and freshness, but I’ll answer anyway.
Compared with women in their 20s, women in their 30s and 40s are likely preferred for their maturity and because older men can feel comfortable being seen with them.
