Only stingy men do letter dates, right? Unfortunately, they’re all stingy. You’re better off not meeting these letter-date older guys—they’re just wasting your time through endless messages. Do older men understand the idea of buying and selling time?

I’m Dai, a male member. I do letter dating too, but I don’t waste someone’s time with endless messages. Usually, we exchange just two or three messages before meeting. By the way, the club only guarantees the initial email, so if a papa (a male supporter) is taking too long to respond, you can simply move on. Isn’t it a good thing that you were able to figure that out before meeting? There are some good papas among those who do letter dating. I think it would be a shame to exclude them all—but perhaps you’re a popular woman.

I’m a stingy letter dater and a loser of a man. Men and women can never truly meet on the horizon, can they? I’m sure it’s just one of God’s little jokes. Until my annual income exceeded ⚫ and I became able to spend over ¥⚫⚫⚫ on papa-katsu, I never once worked by calculating everything in hourly wages. If anything, I feel my success in business has always depended on: “how much pointless effort I was willing to pile up.” With that experience behind me, I eventually found my way to Universe Club. So when I see women worrying about their hourly rate, I can’t help thinking: “What a waste.” I care a lot about women’s time. Even if you tell me not to, I can’t help it. I care. I’ll even pay for a Zoom date with someone I’m keeping as an option. But—and this is important—every once in a while, there’s a girl who doesn’t worry about her time or effort and doesn’t expect compensation for SEX. Girls like that have a huge reward waiting for them. On the other hand, things never last with girls who keep finding excuses to come after me for money. I’ll pay while considering their time, even without being asked. When a woman starts worrying about her hourly rate, it ruins that goodwill. The moment a woman starts focusing on her hourly rate, she’s already lost the allowance game. No, that’s not quite right. She hasn’t lost, but she can’t win. The reason this short, fat, bald, stinky, disgusting man has never once been dumped by a woman he’s dating is because I care about her time. I don’t tie anyone down, I keep my promises about time, and I don’t send pointless messages. But things don’t last with girls who worry about their hourly rate, and I don’t increase their allowance either. The reason Aya, one of the answerers here, can turn men into generous (well-paying) papas is that she understands what hourly pay really means. Aya’s papa probably wasn’t a generous supporter to begin with. She was willing to give up calculating her time by the hour, knowing that it might all be wasted or end in nothing. I think that’s why she’s in the position she is now. Marika, who also understands the deeper meaning of hourly pay, is probably one of the winners in papa-katsu. You can clearly tell that she genuinely enjoys spending time with her papa. Let me add a punchline. My “ace,” who gets ¥1,000,000 a month out of me, was extremely concerned about her hourly rate(笑) So we only meet twice a month, spending an average of less than 10 hours together each month, and we only exchange messages about once a week. This month, we’ve only met for six hours, and there have even been two months when we didn’t meet at all. And yet I’ve increased her allowance again and again. Calculated hourly, she’s making over ¥10,000 an hour. What is that, anyway?(笑) Maybe she really is a genius at papa-katsu. She gives me little or big surprises every time we meet, though. Yesterday, when I thought she had just come out of the shower, she appeared dressed as Sailor Moon and attacked me, saying: “Happy Halloween♪ I’m going to punish you in the name of the moon♡” She’s clumsy, slow, and really takes a lot of looking after. But she’s unbelievably cute. She’s also the only one who seems like she might take care of me in my old age. Not that I’d make her do that. Until I know the day I’ll be seeing her, I can’t schedule dates with the other seven or eight girls I’m always keeping as options. That’s all for my bragging about my relationship m(。>__<。)m P.S. A woman who doesn’t care about her hourly rate has appeared. She currently works in nightlife. She captured my heart in an instant, and my favorability rating has skyrocketed like crazy. I have a feeling she’s going to swoop in and take all the allowances from the other girls I’m keeping around who do worry about their hourly rate...

I’m Kazu, a male club member. If you let the club know, you can decline by stating in your profile that you’re not interested in “letter dates,” so please do that. I think most papas have moved beyond the stage of simply selling their time, increased their income, and are now able to provide an allowance.

People who casually waste other people’s time, who fail to realize that they’re taking up someone’s most valuable resource—along with their time and effort— are, in my view, at the very bottom, whether in business or in their private lives. I don’t consider them trustworthy people. Akari

I’m Aya, a female member. Sounds like you ended up meeting a stingy man. That’s unfortunate. But if you keep trying, you might eventually meet a good papa (a male supporter). In papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), especially in the early stages, I think it’s better to let go of the “hourly rate” mindset to some extent. In the long run, you may receive a higher allowance because so many women think in terms of hourly pay, and many papas are happy to meet someone who doesn’t. Of course, you can’t get blood from a stone, so if you think, “No, this isn’t going to work,” it’s also important to move on. Good luck.
