I’m a male member and, honestly, a bit of a loser.
Here’s what I do:
1. I enter ahead of time, take a shower and brush my teeth, leave a condom somewhere slightly visible, and put out the allowance envelope.
2. When she arrives, I take a second shower.
The first shower is just to make sure there’s no unpleasant smell, even for a moment. The second is a “show shower,” so she can feel reassured that I’m showering and cleaning myself properly.
3. When she leaves her valuables and is about to get in the shower, I tell her, “You might want to take your valuables with you.”
I think this is actually pretty important.
4. While that’s happening, I make the final adjustments, such as the lighting.
5. I have her shower first, then leave a little later.
The only exception is one of my kept partners who’s extremely into submission. As soon as she enters, I blindfold her or lightly tie her up and start some gentle teasing, but otherwise the process is basically the same.
I think the reason I shower first in step 2 is that getting into the shower first probably helps her feel a little more at ease, since she may be nervous about it.
That said, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the questioner’s routine either.
Come to think of it, even among my kept partners, there are some I want to put my own wallet and other belongings in the safe around, and others who leave their wallets out in the open.
Only my ace leaves her wallet out. Even she leaves it behind.
