I don’t really think in terms of a specific amount. If a woman has been wanting something for several months, I’ll buy it for her and give it to her when I feel like it. Or, if I happen to come across something I’m sure she’d love, I’ll buy it for her. So normally, it’s somewhere between a few thousand and a few tens of thousands of yen.
In a mistress-type relationship, the most expensive gift was probably an Hermès bag I’d only used for a day or two. I’d bought it on a whim, but it wasn’t as good as I’d expected. Then she said she wanted it because it was cute, so I gave it to her.
