Since I can’t really imagine things changing, I’d vote for:

Come to think of it, there was once a woman who registered even though her daughter was already an adult. She drove a Mercedes or something, and clearly seemed to live a life with no financial worries whatsoever.
People like that do have something in common with wealthy young ladies, in a way.
She said she’d registered because she was interested, though I don’t think she received any offers.
It’s a shame—if someone had gone on a date with her, I’m sure they would have had a great time.
