I get the impression that men tend to use stickers because they’re happy to receive them from women, while women prefer getting a written message from men rather than just a sticker, so they tend to type out a message instead.
Men usually communicate through text, so they may see stickers as a special way of expressing themselves. Women, on the other hand, are used to using stickers every day, so when a man sends one, it may feel like he sent it casually.
That’s why men tend to make a better impression by adding a comment to a sticker instead of sending just one heartfelt sticker. And even if a woman sends a man just a single sticker, it can make him really happy.

I hardly ever use stickers in everyday conversations… Does the woman you’re talking to use a lot of them? If not, I don’t think you need to force yourself to use them.
Cute, girly stickers might come across as creepy if they don’t fit your personality, too.
With my young papa, who’s a hands-on dad, we have our own private vibe, so I use tons of stickers that match it. Before that, I barely used them at all.

I thought it was funny and wanted to react with a sticker, but there wasn’t one in the question box...
It’s not really important, but actually, it kind of is. Apparently, stickers are a pretty amazing invention, so I think your sense of timing and style matters. They let you come up with just the right response or expression, so keep honing your sticker game.
I’ve never heard of anyone succeeding at papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) thanks to their sticker skills, though lol.

I think any LINE sticker is fine, but when I see someone using an unusual one, I might think, “Oh, that’s interesting.”
Still, I don’t think people pay that much attention to it, do they?
That said, in the future, stickers might be treated the same way emojis are now:
“Why do older people use emojis?”
In other words, we may eventually reach a time when using stickers is seen as a bad thing.
