Do people not go to ordinary love hotels for papa-katsu? Some of my supporters take me to luxury hotels or regular business hotels, but about 60% of the time, we go to ordinary love hotels.

City hotels do offer day-use plans, but perhaps because they’re generally associated with overnight stays, checking out the same day can make you somewhat self-conscious about what people around you might think. That said, one advantage unique to city hotels is that you can easily explain yourself if someone happens to see you. If that isn’t something you’re worried about, love hotels can be a great option—as long as you don’t choose one of the cheaper places. In the past, love hotels used to spend tens of millions of yen per room on the interior design, and they had a real sense of fantasy to them. You don’t hear about that as much these days, so it feels like they’ve lost some of that magic. Even so, if you choose a reasonably expensive hotel, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. > “This is the love hotel I came to with my boyfriend back in high school”—though you’re not supposed to go to one at that age. There are two types of love hotels. Hotels registered under the Adult Entertainment Business Act don’t allow anyone under 18, but love hotels registered as ordinary hotels do allow guests under 18. (Since it’s become quite difficult to obtain the necessary permits these days, I think there are probably more of the latter type.) As I recall, the difference between love hotels and ordinary hotels was whether staff had to receive the money and hand over the key face-to-face. That made me wonder: How do robot hotels get around those rules? So I looked it up. When a hotel doesn’t have a front desk but instead uses ICT equipment such as tablets or video telephones, the following points need to be taken into account. Recent hotels that use robots fall into this category. ① Communication equipment such as telephones must be installed in guest rooms, hallways, and other areas so guests can contact hotel staff or the management company in an emergency. In addition, the hotel must have a system in place allowing staff or management to arrive by foot or car within approximately 10 minutes when requested by a guest. ② The hotel must have video telephones, tablets, or similar equipment so staff can clearly verify guests’ faces and confirm that the guest register has been filled out accurately. ③ A system such as a smart lock must be installed, allowing guests to lock and unlock their rooms using a smartphone or similar device. ④ Video cameras or similar equipment must be installed so that guests’ identities and the comings and goings of anyone other than registered guests can be continuously verified through clear images. So, it seems that only point ④ is somewhat incompatible with the nature of a love hotel. With this setup, it seems possible to operate a love hotel under an ordinary-hotel registration while still having no front desk—just like a conventional love hotel. Though, come to think of it, ordinary hotels can’t have vending machines for adult toys in the rooms, and guests may not be able to pay for the room inside the room either. Anyway, I’m not even sure what I’m talking about anymore. That’s about it, haha.

By the way, if a man takes me to a cheap love hotel, I figure it’s because I’m being treated cheaply—I’m the one saying things like “I’m platinum” and “I’m not some cheap woman.”

When I first started using the club, I usually went with love hotels—especially for first meetings—because I wanted to avoid the risk of booking a regular hotel only to have things fall through. Since COVID, though this may just be my impression, love hotels seem poorly ventilated. And with rates at regular hotels having come down, I now exclusively use four-star hotels or better.

I’m BB7. If she’s a loud woman, a love hotel is better—her voice might carry into the hallway. Though there’s nothing wrong with keeping things quiet, either.

It depends on the person. Papas who have a car, meet during the day, and prefer short meetings often use love hotels. It’s less embarrassing than using a city hotel for daytime stays. Marika Oh my—BB7, I fit that description too.
