Nah, neither of those things would really hurt me that much. Do you think I’m the kind of guy who gets upset over something like that? Don’t underestimate me, lol.
I’ve been through that sort of thing countless times.
What would actually shock me? Probably getting a bullet-point list of all the things that creep someone out about me, like:
- The way you acted that time was creepy
- Your breath smells like a public restroom
- Honestly, you’re just creepy.

I’d say they’re pretty much the same. If I had to choose, being left on unread makes it easier to realize you’ve been blocked. With read-and-no-reply, I end up conveniently telling myself she might just be busy, so it’s a little more of a shock.

Either way, being ignored is still being ignored, so there’s no real difference. Even if the message shows as read, they might have opened it by accident.
