Does anyone know why I get more offers now that I’m Platinum than I did when I was Gold?

I’m Fuu, a column writer. When a woman is upgraded from Gold to Platinum after a reshoot, I assume it’s because she looks more beautiful than before, photographs better, or perhaps made a better impression and responded more appropriately during the reshoot—making her profile stronger overall. When someone moves up a rank after a reshoot, staff may also add positive comments to her profile, such as: “Upgraded to Platinum because she has become more beautiful.” “Upgraded to Platinum because her figure has improved.” That may be another reason she stands out. Maybe you’ve become more beautiful, too?

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member. I do search across all classes, regardless of rank. However, Platinum men mainly make offers to Platinum women. When a man is Black, he may try to focus on Black and Platinum women, but there are so few Black women he can make offers to that, simply because there are more of them, Platinum women end up being the main focus. (With Gold, the number is a bit lower.) Also, some men see moving up in class as a positive rather than a negative, and some only realize this for the first time because of it, so that adds to the numbers as well. Plus, depending on the comments about a class upgrade, there are cases where you can tell someone moved up because they’re popular.

I’m Kazu, a male member. Answer 1 Yesterday’s question about the Standard category may offer a clue: https://universe-club.jp/help/questions/view/8371 When a beautiful woman is listed as Standard, people may wonder why and assume that, despite her looks, she must have some kind of drawback. In other words, many members may have thought she looked Platinum, but since she was actually Gold, they may have speculated that there was some reason behind it. Answer 2 The power of a brand is remarkable. Even if a woman is reasonably suited to the Platinum category, Platinum may feel more special than Gold, which could make her more popular.

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here. For example, suppose there’s a woman in Gold who looks attractive enough that you think, “She could probably pass for Black.” I feel the men would split into two groups: ① Men who are simply happy about it and make an offer. ② Men who think, “Maybe she was downgraded to Gold because there’s something wrong with her personality,” and decide not to make an offer. In that case, she would normally receive offers from both ① and ②, but because she’s in Gold, she ends up receiving offers only from ①. If she were Platinum, however, men who were interested wouldn’t have any reason to suspect anything and would make offers as usual, so it seems like she’d receive more offers. In theory, there should also be men who feel that paying the Platinum offer fee is too much, but for some reason, this is rarely pointed out as a problem. Maybe it’s because admitting that would make those men look bad, but if anything, I get the impression that many of them aren’t struggling financially all that much.
