I’d really like my papa to stop calling me “Princess.” He calls me that both in public and on LINE. What should I do?

It was a story on TV about a scumbag who calls all of his girlfriends “Princess” so he won’t mix up their names. I hope your papa (a male supporter) remembers your name! Marika

I’m Fuu, a column writer. That’s pretty intense. I don’t think I could call him “Princess” every time—not even as a joke. Your papa is completely smitten with his relationship with you. Maybe let it slide over LINE and in private, but tell him, “I’m embarrassed when we’re out, so please don’t do it in public.” In return, when he calls you “Prince” in private, play along with lines like, “Yes, Your Highness,” or “Do whatever you wish, my king.” I’m sure he’d be thrilled. “Your Majesty, I’m embarrassed in public, so don’t call me ‘Prince,’ okay? Promise?” Playing prince and princess, haha.

I’m Nana Ayase ♡ You must be very beautiful, questioner ♡ Tell your papa (a male supporter) that you’d like him to call you by your name. If he does, show him how incredibly happy it makes you. He may enjoy seeing how happy you are and start calling you by your name more often.

Your papa (male supporter) must be absolutely thrilled. Even with an allowance involved, he’s clearly happy to be seeing you. Since you’re embarrassed, why not ask him to save it for when the two of you are alone—something like, “I’d prefer that to be our little secret”?

Maezawa from the CEO’s Office here with an answer as well. I think it might be okay to let him call you that on LINE. Since he enjoys calling you that, I feel it’s something you can probably tolerate. But being called that in public is certainly embarrassing. I think you should make that clear to him. You might even say, “If you call me that, I’m going home right then and there.”
