If anything, more people are coming to us than before, so purely in terms of numbers, I feel like we’re actually seeing more cute women than we used to. That’s because I think it really comes down to proportions. Let’s say the top 30% of applicants are cute. If we had 100 applicants a month, that would mean only 30 cute women. But if we had 1,000 applicants, 300 cute women would come in each month. So whereas we used to have only 30 cute women coming in every month, now we have 300. That said, when there were only 30, all 30 of them may have seemed cute. But now that there are 300, the viewer’s standards may have become stricter, so they only find the especially cute ones attractive. It’s also possible that the women I met in the past seem more attractive because memories tend to become idealized, making them seem cuter than the women currently registered. And, as they say, “the fish that got away always seems bigger”—once a relationship ends, the other person can start to look more attractive.
