What do you think about prioritizing my part-time job over my papa? When making plans, I say things like, “Sorry, I’m planning to work that day... (I haven’t submitted my shift preferences yet, though).” I end up saying this to papas I don’t really want to meet, but I wonder how it comes across from their perspective?

I’ll answer as Maezawa from the CEO’s office. It sounds like you don’t actually want to meet him, but you want the money, so you feel you have no choice but to see him. > Sorry, I’m planning to work part-time that day. That’s being a little too brutally honest. You should just say that you already have a shift scheduled. If he asks, “But hasn’t the schedule been finalized yet?” you could make up some awkward excuse like: “Apparently my senior has something to do that day, so I ended up agreeing to cover their shift.” If you don’t want to meet him, I think you should just block him.

If you use insensitive wording just because he’s a papa you don’t really want to meet, he’ll say goodbye to you. If you don’t really want to see him in the first place, just don’t meet him. Get a proper part-time job that pays you what your abilities are worth, and learn to appreciate the value of money. Akari

I’m Dai, a male member. I understand prioritizing a part-time job, but if I feel she’s thinking the way you are, I’d simply end things. If you don’t really want to meet but continue seeing him anyway, I think that’s actually disrespectful to a man who would be happy to give you an allowance.

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member. Hearing the words “prioritizing your part-time job” feels really sad. That said, a part-time job is still work, so it’s perfectly normal to meet on days when you don’t have work. You’re free to prioritize whichever papa you want, but maybe it’s best to end things with a papa you don’t like… I hope you find a papa you’d rather see than your female friends—even if it’s just for dinner and there’s no allowance. When it comes to women, it’s not really about prioritizing one person over another; they’re probably incredibly good at managing their time…

I’m Kazu, a male member. I think it’s healthier to prioritize your part-time job, so I’m perfectly fine with that. I also understand that if you need the money, you might prioritize meeting me over your job, and I’m fine with that too. In other words, either way works for me.

I’m Flag Maker, a column writer. I’d prefer to be at the very bottom of her priority list—below school, part-time work, her career, friends, and even her pets. I want to value the things that matter to her, after all. Her everyday life goes on, while I’ll leave someday. If it looks like I might move up her list, I’ll go out of my way to move myself back down. Besides, even if she turns down my invitation, the fact that I asked still remains. I get a small sense of having done my duty without spending time or money, and it feels like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Am I the only one who feels this way...?

I’m in Seattle. I think low-paying part-time jobs are a waste of time. But if it’s a papa (a male supporter) I don’t like, I guess it can’t be helped to limit how often I see him. P.S. Mac, that pizza place gig sounds great. I’ll be outside the shop warming my dick, so come see me ///
