Hmm, I don’t think it’s because of your looks or fashion.
When you’re with people your own age, do you find yourself overthinking things, getting nervous, or trying to act like the person you want to be? But when you’re with older men, are you able to relax and show your true self instead?
Until my early twenties, I was popular with older women but not at all with people my own age. I was so desperate to be liked that I tried too hard to look cool, so that’s what came to mind. (^_^)

Girls who get showered with compliments from older men but aren’t popular with guys their own age—and are only occasionally told they’re beautiful—are usually just average.
If you put it in terms of an academic deviation score, they’re around 50.
Older men give them extra points simply because they’re older men. Honestly, when it comes to how older men view younger women, anyone with a good figure looks “beautiful,” while anyone with an average figure looks “cute.”
That said, girls do occasionally get told they’re “cute” or “beautiful” by guys their own age, too. People’s opinions vary, after all.
My own facial score is probably only around 30, but about one person in a hundred has told me they think I’m good-looking.
Older men generally like younger women.
Guys the same age tend to like girls who seem approachable and within reach. Since they don’t have that much dating experience either, they tend to prefer girls who look a little unguarded—wearing a matching GU outfit and carrying a canvas tote bag.
They’re often put off by girls in knit dresses carrying designer handbags.

Being told you seem popular with older men can feel like a subtle insult, can’t it… The woman who used to be married to “Don Juan of Kishu” also gave off that kind of vibe.
If you don’t mind me saying so, do you dress like her—with long black hair and a flashy, old-school glamorous style, such as a tight knit dress that shows off a model-like figure? Or perhaps your lipstick is too red?
I’ve also heard that being very tall can come across as intimidating and make you less popular with younger men, but that older men who were young when statuesque models were idolized after the war tend to like it. Apparently, elderly company presidents in Ginza like to walk around with hostesses taller than themselves because they still can’t let go of those old aspirations.
In any case, I think you’ll probably appeal to people your own age as well if you try to keep up with current makeup trends.

Haha! That’s a good question.
I’m voting for Flag Maker!
Older guys have thick skin and no shame, so they’ll say whatever they want and do whatever they feel like. That’s probably why you get that impression.

Go around telling every guy you know things like, “I really like that side of you,” “I’m jealous of the girl who gets to date you,” or “I’d love to talk to you more”—anything that makes it sound like you’re interested!
Men will start flocking to you thinking, “Hey, maybe I’ve got a chance?”
The reason someone is “popular” with multiple people is because they’re giving multiple people the impression they might be interested. Nobody becomes popular based on their looks alone without doing anything. That’s why there are men and women who get plenty of attention despite having ordinary looks. That’s why even a bald guy like me has market value.

Being too beautiful isn’t necessarily popular with men your own age.
You can seem unapproachable, and people may assume they’d have to spend a lot of money to be with you.
Rather than focusing on makeup, it might be better to think about what men your age are actually looking for.
The reason older men swarm around you is simply that they want to use their money to have beautiful women they could never have approached in the past by their side.

With perfect makeup, you probably come across as an unattainable beauty. Older guys approach with the power of money, so they don’t bother looking in the mirror and have pretty thick skin.
I think the more herbivorous types these days just give up when a woman seems intimidating. Popular guys date women who approach them on their own anyway.
You might need to show a little vulnerability. Go out looking relaxed and makeup-free once in a while, approach someone yourself, or show that you have an unexpectedly good sense of humor.
You may have a lot of pride, but have some sympathy for the young guys who can’t bring themselves to approach someone because she’s too beautiful. If you stay silent, things will remain the same, so try talking to them in a way that makes it easier for them to approach you.
P.S. Exactly. Flag Maker’s answer is the right one.

Aren’t your eyebrows a little thick? For people from the bubble era, that alone brings back memories and gets them excited.
If you want to appeal to younger people, wouldn’t Heisei-style makeup be the way to go? It’s simply a matter of how you apply it. Though what do I know.
