That’s a good question (lol).
To me, “friends with benefits” suggests a light relationship that’s convenient for both people.
In my case, I’d say I get more deeply involved with a woman than that. I’m happy to listen to her concerns, offer guidance, empathize—anything goes (lol).
If you meet regularly as friends with benefits and are always sharing your feelings and talking through each other’s concerns, I think that’s essentially the same as being a papa.
