If the class you heard about is Standard, it may be worth taking steps to move up to Gold. Otherwise, moving up too soon could actually result in fewer offers.
I’ve seen a few people get promoted after being flooded with offers, but I think that mostly happens when they first register.
So, the only thing you can really do proactively to move up a class is have new photos taken.

Lately, I’ve been receiving a monthly message from the club saying, “Thank you very much for having registered with us previously. …Of course, this is not an invitation to rejoin.”
I think the ideal is for both men and women to meet someone they feel is truly the best possible match, so they no longer need to make or accept offers and can “graduate” (take a break or leave).
Could the monthly emails simply be getting sent by mistake?

Women’s class rankings are most often raised in the following situations:
① When they receive a flood of offers
In this case, they may be moved up because it’s assumed they’ll continue receiving offers even in a higher class. However, there have also been women who received a flood of offers at first, only for them to stop completely after being moved up, so deciding whether to raise their class can be a difficult judgment call.
② At the time of a new photo shoot
If a woman comes in for new photos and looks significantly more attractive than before, we may decide she can qualify for a higher class. In some cases, her class is raised when the new photos are uploaded.

Basically, it’s uncommon for the assessment made at the initial interview to be significantly wrong, so moving up to a higher class is difficult.
That said, if you aim to make a major transformation by the time of your new photo shoot, I think it’s possible.

As your profile rank goes up, men have to pay more, so you’ll receive fewer offers. And you don’t see people move up the ranks that often—maybe one in fifty.
Rather than worrying too much about your rank, focus on how much you can get from the men.
