This is Arai from FS5 (Field Sales).
Of course, that’s possible. In fact, if you meet someone despite already feeling uncomfortable about it, you won’t be able to build a good relationship, so I think it would be better to decline.
If you let us know that you’d like to decline offers from smokers, we can also note it in your profile. Please feel free to discuss it directly with a staff member.

Maezawa from the President’s Office here.
Universe is run by people who arrange the matches.
So when you receive an offer, you can reply, “If the male member is a smoker, I’d prefer to decline,” and the staff can ask him and turn it down if necessary.
But rather than declining outright, I feel it might be better to ask something like, “I’m not good with cigarette smoke—would you refrain from smoking during the date?”
Since he wants to go on the date too, he may be willing to put up with it. And if he doesn’t want to, I assume he’ll withdraw the offer.

I’m a male member, Papercraft.
Of course, it’s okay to say no.
In fact, I think you should turn it down, and continuing would probably be very difficult. It’s better to decline upfront than to accept the offer and only later realize that you really can’t do it.

I believe it’s up to the woman whether she accepts an offer. The club simply provides a place for people to meet and pursue consensual relationships, so you shouldn’t feel obligated to meet someone just because you receive an offer.
That said, if there are certain types of people you don’t want to meet, it’s better to mention that in your profile beforehand. If you suddenly reject someone for being a smoker when your profile gave no indication of that, it can leave the person being rejected feeling unpleasant.

You can write it in your profile.
I think it’s fine to simply say, “I’m not comfortable around cigarette smoke.”

I’m Kazu, a male member.
It’s possible, and you can mention it in your profile. I remember seeing a woman write something along the lines of, “I don’t mind if you smoke, but please don’t smoke in front of me.” Some people are that specific in their profiles.

I’m in Seattle.
Two years ago, I once made an offer to a 19-year-old, only to find out she was a really heavy smoker. The club wasn’t at fault, but that was a tough one.

It’s possible, and on your profile you can select that you’re a nonsmoker and prefer someone who doesn’t smoke either.
I believe men are asked the same question as well.
There aren’t many smokers these days.
