What membership-based hotels or private clubs would be suitable for a date? I know about Baycourt Club and Hills Club, for example. I’m not very knowledgeable, so I’d appreciate advice from someone who is.

Ayase Nana ♡ Today I ate tons of cake at Hotel New Otani Osaka ♡♡♡ It was delicious! I don’t like mid-range hotels because the bathrooms are so cramped. Hotels that you can’t access without a top-tier card tend to have more spacious bathrooms, but I’d feel terrible if I turned the bed into a pool, so I think a love hotel would be fine. To the housekeeping staff at ultra-luxury hotels: I’m always sorry.

I’m in Seattle. I guess it depends on what the man prefers. Personally, I like going to different hotels, so I probably don’t need a membership. By the way, I’m writing this while having cake at Hotel New Otani.

The Tokyo Baycourt Club’s location leaves something to be desired. Marika

I’m Kazu, a male member. I’ve never considered buying a membership, but acquaintances occasionally approach me about them, and I get bombarded with DMs, so I’ll share my thoughts. I often hear about Tokyu Harvest Club, ResortTrust’s Baycourt Club and XIV, and Hoshino Resorts. There are also shared vacation homes from companies like Hilton. I believe people buy those mainly as a scheme for treating the annual membership fees as deductible corporate expenses. The locations and clientele don’t seem particularly suited to club activities either. If you want to impress a woman, I think you’d be far better off staying at a non-members-only hotel that costs at least ¥50,000 per night. As for members-only clubs, places like the Imperial Hotel Club come to mind, but I don’t think their atmosphere or clientele is a good fit either. I’ve used one a few times, and I’d definitely frown if other guests were carrying out papa-katsu there. For a date, I feel a tucked-away bar would be much more suitable. There are plenty of them around now that they’ve become trendy. A truly hidden bar that you can’t enter unless you’re friendly with the master might be an option too, but I don’t want to bring a woman I’m not yet particularly close to somewhere so private and personal. That said, apparently there are male members who do take women they’ve made an offer to into their own personal territory.

Maezawa from the president’s office here as well. That said, I’m not particularly knowledgeable about this myself. To begin with, I’m not really sure why you’re so set on a membership hotel. A high-end regular hotel should be safe enough, shouldn’t it?
