For a first overnight stay, I’d book a single room for myself and a twin room for her. That way, if we become even closer, we can spend time together in the twin room. And if sharing a bed feels stressful for her, having separate rooms gives her the option to sleep alone.

For a deluxe twin, I’d probably choose based on things like whether you can enjoy the city view from the luxurious bathroom, what amenities are available on each floor, and the room’s layout and features.

If you think about it normally, I’d say twin beds.
With a double bed, I feel like you might both sleep more lightly because of each other’s sleeping habits, which could affect the next day.
That said, Seattle-san’s idea of having two single beds is a good one.
The downside is that you can’t cuddle in that sleepy, half-awake state in the morning, but I think that can wait until you’ve stayed over together several times.
At first, you’ll probably sleep more soundly in separate beds and be able to enjoy the next day more.
Still, I think it would be good to say something like, “We’ll sleep in separate beds this time, but once we get more comfortable with each other, we can share a room.”

If it’s the kind of relationship where she gets tired after sex and falls into a deep sleep, sharing a double bed might just work.
Actually, a double would be too cramped, so a king-size bed would be better.
Normally, though, I go with a twin room with double beds.

As long as he doesn’t snore, I’m fine with anything. I might feel lonely if we were given twin beds, though. I realize I’m probably in the minority.
