Even if that’s what you want, it’s probably better not to tell men that you want to spend the money on beauty treatments. Since someone felt the need to ask about it here, I doubt they’d readily accept it. Still, are there really that many women like that?
“Beauty” can mean anything from expensive cosmetics and esthetic treatments to light laser treatments at a cosmetic dermatology clinic, or even plastic surgery. There are certainly women who don’t want to cut back on their beauty expenses even when they’re short on money, so perhaps those are the women who turn to papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan).

I think the main reason is usually that they need money, and “beauty-related expenses” is an easy answer to give. It feels much the same as saying they were introduced by a friend.

“Beauty” can mean many different things.
Some people want to go to a spa regularly for treatments, while others take care of their skin every day with skincare products. There’s also hair removal, cosmetics, and so on.
I think some people want to spend money on all of these things—and perhaps others as well—to keep their skin looking youthful for as long as possible.
In some cases, cosmetic surgery may be included, but people who mean cosmetic surgery usually say they want cosmetic surgery specifically, so I feel most people tend to distinguish between the two.
