Would a man who sends me long, detailed LINE messages about his daily life be happy if I sent him long messages about mine too?

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here. If your thinking is, “Since they send long messages, I’ll send long messages too so they’ll realize how hard it is to read them,” I’d advise against it. They probably don’t think their messages are long. In fact, they likely believe those messages have already been shortened. Even when someone feels they’ve removed everything unnecessary and written only the bare minimum, the message can still seem far too long to the person reading it. You may want them to just get to the point, but differences in the way people think can make that difficult. That said, if you personally like long messages and don’t mind writing them, I think it’s fine to send long ones. I can’t say whether they’ll be happy about it, but at least they may not feel like they’re missing anything.

I’m Aya. When I reply to messages from my partners, I generally match their length and energy. I didn’t know about the mirroring effect, but I used to imitate them unconsciously, and they often seemed happy about it, so I still do the same. If you put yourself in your partner’s shoes and think about things from their perspective, it can lead to earning money.

I’m in Seattle. When I send a long message, he seems happy and replies with one that’s about three times longer. It’s nice as long as we’re both enjoying it, but we should keep it to a reasonable level.

I’m Kazu, a male member. In general, I think longer messages feel better because they make you feel like the other person is genuinely engaging with you.
