Can a 50-year-old single woman register?

I’m Aya, a female member. I think you’ll be fine as long as you come across as humble in the interview. People have different ideas of what “humble” means, so some interviewers might find it off-putting if you lead too strongly with your pageant achievements. If you’re attractive now and have a warm, friendly smile, I think you’ll have a good chance of being accepted without emphasizing your pageant background too much.

I’m Maezawa from the president’s office, and I’ll answer this one as well. I think it depends on your attitude. If you act during the interview as though you’re obviously entitled to pass, the interviewer may get annoyed（笑）and you could end up being rejected. But if you approach it more like, “Do you think even someone like me could pass?” then I think you’d be accepted. Especially now, with the state of emergency in effect, your chances of passing are significantly higher. Some branch offices are even asking whether they can return to their previous interview standards. That said, I don’t really understand why they want to raise the standards again. Is it simply because the interview staff want to assert their superiority? Does rejecting people make them feel more important? Anyway, there are various factors, but I think now is a great opportunity for anyone. One more thing: > I was the winner of a beauty pageant at one of the former Imperial Seven Universities. That’s certainly impressive enough, but somehow I don’t think many men would make an offer specifically because of that. People generally judge based on your current photos. If it were something like Miss Universe or Miss International, however, the number of winners is extremely limited, so I feel there would be men who would want to make an offer.

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member. These days, even men around 60 are getting accepted, so it seems like almost everyone gets through.

I’m also in my late 40s, without any impressive title or background, but it seems that being reasonably well-groomed and having a normal personality is enough. So if you’re someone as attractive as a former beauty pageant contestant, I don’t think it should be a problem. Of course, I believe it ultimately depends on how your interview goes, but I wanted to let you know that there are members in their late 40s who are enjoying relationships as well. Marika

People who experienced the bubble era and rapid economic growth tend to have a warped sense of money. Many younger women also prefer Japanese cuisine. Still, why not go ahead and attend the interview? It’s good that you’ve learned a few things before going in.
