How likely is it that a girl who ended things with me will reconnect if I contact her first? Have you ever tried it—or had someone do it to you? I’d appreciate hearing your experiences.

I’m BB7, a male member. I’ve never done it or had it done to me, but I have tried. If she was the one who ended things, your chances are almost zero. Women generally don’t stay hung up on older men—especially women who receive offers from other men. If you were the one who ended it, there may still be a slight chance, but I think you’d be better off making an offer to someone new. Clinging to something that’s already over rarely leads to anything good.

I’m Aya, a female member. Last year, when the COVID-19 pandemic began, I was contacted by several papas. At the time, I politely turned them down, saying I had a boyfriend. There were no particular problems, and I feel that they were all very nice people.

Maezawa from the President’s Office here with an answer as well. If she was the one who cut things off, there’s almost no chance of reviving the relationship by contacting her yourself. I also think the chances of her reaching out are close to zero, though in rare cases, she may contact you when she’s short on money. That’s your chance. Meet her, treat her kindly, give her a generous allowance, and go for a comeback.

I’m Kazu, a male member. I’ve never been cut off, so I can’t say from experience, but I think there’s little chance of rekindling the relationship if she isn’t struggling financially or doesn’t regret ending things.
