Apparently, you’re supposed to claim that your birthday is a month after meeting someone and ask for a “modest” birthday present. Then you judge how much money they have based on the gift, and if they seem worth targeting, pressure them into buying various products and fleece them for money.
They actually covered this on TV fairly recently. It’s a scammer’s MO.

Whether someone is wealthy or not is probably something anyone can tell by looking at their lifestyle. But whether you’d be happy to be invited into a papa’s private life is purely a matter of compatibility, so I think it varies from person to person.
Personally, I tend to get along best with men who don’t constantly shower me with sweet words like “I love you” or “I really like you,” and those relationships are the ones that last. In the end, though, the way their affection comes across may be through money. Even so, I wouldn’t want to accept money from someone I wasn’t compatible with. So ultimately, it depends on the person. I’m not sure whether that answers what you were looking for.

You’ve bundled everything together, but I feel each point is actually separate.
> Wealthy and likely to be generous
Some people are generous even if they aren’t wealthy. Of course, their income sets a limit, but no one gives a woman their entire income. In practice, I think it’s better to judge whether they’re willing to spend money on you rather than whether they’re truly wealthy.
> Unlikely to invite you on private outings like trips, golf, or drives in exchange for money
Whether a man wants to spend money on a woman is separate from his personal preferences. Some men want to play golf together, while others want to travel together. Some simply prefer intimacy at a hotel.
You’ll probably figure out whether someone likes golf or enjoys traveling by talking over dinner.
It’s natural to want to do things together when they’re activities you enjoy, so in your case, I think you should choose someone who doesn’t bring up wanting to do those kinds of things.
> Someone you could date without stress
First, you need to think about what kind of person you could be with without feeling stressed.
From the way you phrased your question, it sounds like you want someone who only wants intimacy and will give you a large allowance.
Personally, though, that feels like it’s not much different from the sex industry.

Are you a man or a woman?
A woman with the mindset described in your question would probably be easy to see through.
I suppose the essence of papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) is being invited into someone’s private life and enjoying a comfortable, stress-free relationship.
Or perhaps it simply comes down to compatibility between the two people.
Can you both feel grateful and happy to have met each other?
If so, neither person will hold back. And that doesn’t just mean money—it also means making the most of and enjoying the time you have together.

I’m looking for a papa (a male supporter) I can comfortably enjoy things like golf, drives, and trips with, so our criteria may be different.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

You might want to go for a papa (a male supporter) around 80. The very elderly tend to have the most money. If you play your cards right, you might even inherit it…
I wonder if I’ll be able to spend all my money over the next 30 years so I don’t leave any behind.
