Until fairly recently, I thought herpes was an STD. I overheard a close coworker telling some female employees that he’d gotten herpes, and I seriously worried about whether that was something you’d talk about in everyday conversation—or whether it could even count as sexual harassment. And when he mentioned cold sores, I was thinking, “Do you even realize what you’re saying? lol” Thankfully, I didn’t say it out loud.
