When you don’t meet anyone at work, it can be pretty difficult to find someone nearby, right?
Since starting work, I’ve met people through industry get-togethers, been introduced to younger men by seniors from university, and attended dinner gatherings arranged by friends. I even once dated someone for several years after a man who approached me on the street by chance turned out to be my classmate. I feel most comfortable with people who were in the same school year as me.
I’ve never tried a matchmaking bar or dating apps, but I feel more at ease when we have mutual acquaintances, and I think those relationships are more likely to last. I hope you find someone great.

If you want to have sex with someone your own age, a dating app might be the way to go. But if you’re looking for love, I think you’ll have to create opportunities to meet people.
In my experience, if you take up a hobby that doesn’t attract many women, you’ll quickly become the belle of the ball.
Though, of course, you might end up being approached by older men instead.
Meeting people through a hobby is great because you have something in common to talk about, and you can enjoy it together.

These days, if you search for machikon events, you’ll find all kinds of events and drinking parties.
I think they’re better than aiai-style setups.
If you’re looking for something a little more romantic, there are also matchmaking events and couples’ parties with the same goal. Popular women can even pair up every time. These days, they often use partitions for privacy and make arrangements for people attending alone.

I think it’s best to avoid getting involved with someone at work, since that can easily lead to trouble. I honestly can’t understand the mindset of trying to pursue romance within your close personal circles.
I often hear from people I’m seeing that they met someone at a bar, but since last year, that approach hasn’t really been as viable. I also hear about people being introduced through friends fairly often.
So I guess dating apps are probably the way to go. In reality, I hear all kinds of stories—getting flooded with messages and finding it exhausting, meeting terrible men, even catching an STD—but there still seem to be opportunities to meet people.

> Apparently, most men are good at sex.
One of the people I’m seeing also told me that she’s been with men who were good at sex. I think it’s impressive when a man can still be considerate in bed even if the encounter began as such a casual hookup. Personally, I’d be too nervous to go down on someone I’d met through a casual encounter.
