I saw a TV program about this before, and apparently street scouts have to approach dozens of people.
Most people won’t even stop to listen, so they try to find someone who will hear them out, even briefly.
With that in mind, I imagine you might have to approach around 100 people just to get one person to talk to you. You’d need enough time for that, as well as nerves of steel to handle being ignored.
There’s also the possibility of being mistaken for a scout and getting into trouble.
So, when you consider all that, I think relatively few people are approached on the street.

I don’t approach random people walking around. I did go through a phase of wanting to try one-night stands, but once I’d gotten it out of my system, I was able to move on pretty quickly.
That said, when I really like someone, I do take things further than I normally would. I guess that’s just how it is, right?

As I mentioned in my previous question, I’m the type to stay with someone for a long time, so I have absolutely no interest in dating lots of women or having one-night stands. In fact, I find them boring.
All the women I’ve dated in the past were long-term, deep relationships, and nearly all of them eventually got married. Most of those relationships have continued to this day, even after that. Once I fall for someone, I fall deeply—and it doesn’t end.
I realize there’s a bit of a contradiction there, but please bear with me…
