I use foundation, of course, as well as concealer, eyebrow products, eyeshadow, highlighter, contour, blush, and lipstick! I don’t wear mascara, but even after putting on all that, I still apparently look bare-faced… And I can’t help thinking, “There’s no way an office lady would show up to work without makeup…” Could this be a kind of social nicety from men? Are they indirectly trying to say, “You’re wearing natural-looking makeup,” perhaps!? What level of makeup do men consider to be just right? It feels so unreasonable that they dislike flashy makeup, but won’t even realize I’m wearing makeup unless it’s flashy…

I’m also someone who gets told my makeup looks too light, even though I do it properly. I think anything is fine as long as it suits you and looks pretty! It might be a good idea to ask someone of the same gender, too. Marika
