Rather than wondering why, it’s probably better to think of it as depending on the man.
Everyone wants different things. Not every man wants to be exclusive, but some may see multiple people simply because they have no other choice.
Once she no longer feels the need to meet other men, she’ll naturally settle on just one.
P.S. Even if she had 12 monthly supporters, if a papa who wants to see her three times a week came along, meeting the other papas would start to feel like a real hassle.

There may be some women who are seeing only one person, but once they find someone, they likely suspend or cancel their membership, so they no longer appear on the member list.
As for those seeing multiple papas, I imagine there are various reasons—financial circumstances, still weighing their options, being focused on their day job, or simply having more experience with men.

If someone comes along who can satisfy me on his own, I might narrow it down to just him.

Thank you for your question.
I imagine some women date only one person.
However, I wouldn’t recommend it. You may end up letting the man take control of the relationship and spend your days putting up with things.
Even if that doesn’t happen, the relationship may still come to an end. If it does, your financial situation could suddenly take a turn for the worse. To avoid that, I think it’s perfectly normal to date multiple men.
Just as diversifying risk is common when investing, I feel that risk diversification is also important in papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan).
That said, women with a solid financial foundation don’t need to diversify their risk, so dating only one man may be perfectly fine for them.

In my case, I recommend having at least one other reasonably good papa, because if you only have me and we break up, you might be left with no one to look after you and end up in a difficult situation. I say “reasonably good” because I’d be sad if some amazing papa came along and you left me, but I’d also be sad if a lousy papa treated you poorly.
I can’t recommend putting yourself in an extremely vulnerable position, like a subcontractor who relies on orders from just one company.
That said, if I guaranteed the length of the arrangement, set a notice period for ending it, gave you a sufficient allowance every month, and earned your trust, you might eventually choose to stick with just me.
