It takes me at least three hours to get ready for a date—doing my makeup, styling my hair, and so on. Is plastic surgery the only way to cut down on the time? Men don’t take even 10 minutes to get ready before a date, right? How long does it take everyone else?

I take a leisurely bath in the morning, then dry my hair—and if I’m not putting it up, I’ll blow-dry it smooth—which takes about 40 minutes in total. Makeup and getting dressed take 20 minutes, and another 5 minutes to get everything together in my bag, for a total of 65 minutes. It takes longer than I realized (lol). If I’m going straight after work and only need to change, it takes about 10 minutes for changing and touching up my makeup. Three hours is about as long as it takes a bride to get ready for a wedding (lol). I’m not very good at makeup, so I envy people who can do it so skillfully that they look like a completely different person—but taking three hours sounds exhausting. I feel like you could analyze where all that time is going and streamline your routine. And even if cosmetic surgery saved time, people who pursue that path would probably aim for even greater beauty and end up spending even more time on it. Marika

Even with plastic surgery, you’d still probably do your hair and makeup, so I feel like it would take just as long. Going completely bald might save you time on your hair, but you’d probably attract everyone’s attention. Three hours seems like far too long, so it might be worth thinking about how you can shorten your routine.
