A gold-tier female member I previously made an offer to had graduated from a university well known for being attended by wealthy, privileged women. When I asked her about it, she really did seem to come from that kind of background. Apparently, she had attended affiliated schools all the way from kindergarten through university. Her calm way of speaking and refined laugh began to make sense, too. However, I’m looking for women from more ordinary backgrounds, and that day I lost interest when I realized that her family was probably wealthier than I am. According to her, she had written the name of her university on the registration form, but no one had specifically brought it up. Does the club not check whether a woman comes from a wealthy family when she graduated from a university known for having many students from affluent families? I’d appreciate any information, as I’d like to reduce these mismatches in the future.

Maezawa from the President’s Office will answer this one as well. Thank you for your question. Even if you learn a woman’s university and try to threaten her with it, that won’t work. I don’t think you would do something like that, but there may be people who would, so for that reason, women can’t list their university names. I think it would be best for the questioner to state their own annual income and add: “If your family is wealthier than that, please decline the offer.” That said, women who don’t want to meet ordinary men would probably reply that they’re declining because they come from a wealthy family—even when they’re not actually wealthy.

Realistically, no one is going to state whether they come from a wealthy family, and the criteria are unclear anyway, so that would be difficult. I think you should simply write on your profile that you prefer not to meet anyone from a wealthy family. Or perhaps it’s just a matter of phrasing. Saying, “I prefer someone down-to-earth,” might come across better. —Marika
