Men ask for my real first name, and since I use my real first name on LINE too, that’s what they end up calling me.
Apparently, calling someone by a fake name feels empty.
Sometimes men ask me to add “-chan” to make it feel more familiar, but I’m embarrassed to say it that way, so I really hate it.
I get called by my first name with “-san,” “-chan,” or no honorific at all.

When it comes to women, more often than not, they prefer to be called by their club name. So when addressing a woman, it’s probably best to use her club name.
If she wants you to call her by her real name, I think she’ll let you know.
With men, many prefer being called by their real name, but not everyone does. So it may be best to ask something like:
“What should I call you?”

I call them by their nicknames, pet names, or the names they use on LINE, adding “-san.” I think it’s perfectly fine to keep using an alias. I’m addressed by my club-name surname, and I like it that way.
