Can the person who posted a question be identified by their IP address or other information?

I’m Taro, a male member. If you commit a crime, the police may be able to identify you through their investigation, but otherwise, you should be fine. If the company is secretly identifying members and doing something with that information while calling it an “anonymous question box,” that would be an ethical violation. You should bring it out into the open and hold Universe Club accountable. So don’t worry unnecessarily—whenever you think of an incredibly embarrassing question that you couldn’t ask anywhere else, go ahead and post it right away. I look forward to hearing from you.

I’m Kazu, a male member. There’d be nothing to gain from doing that, so unless someone does something seriously malicious, I don’t think anyone would try to identify them. If they did something truly egregious, though, an investigation might be conducted.
